API Developer

Job Description:

• Develop, enhance, and harden manufacturingrelated and Central Services APIs using Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Provide daily operational support by troubleshooting API issues, assisting API consumers, and coordinating resolution with partner teams (OpenShift, Database, Networking).
• Monitor API performance, infrastructure uptime, and automated alerts to ensure SLO/availability targets are consistently met.
• Support feature requests and enhancements, performing root cause analysis for outages and recurring issues, and contributing to longterm platform stability.
• Maintain highquality API documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training materials for internal and external consumers.
• Communicate incident status, work order progress, and upcoming changes clearly while following established changemanagement processes across environments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in API development, support, or integration roles within an enterprise environment.
• Extensive experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, or related data services).
• Strong handson experience with Python and Java Spring Boot, especially for building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of REST API principles, error handling, versioning, authentication/authorization, and API security.
• Familiarity with API gateways and other integration platforms.
• Working knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (ADO), and distributed system debugging.
• Ability to analyze logs, interpret response codes, identify failures, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with global teams and multiple partner groups.

Working Time: Shift 2nd 1.00 PM 10.00 PM

The ideal start date for this position would be 30 days from the offer and will run for 12+ months. Extendable
