Java support specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend L3 Production Support Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues in enterprise-scale applications. The role requires strong backend expertise, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to ensure system stability, availability, and performance in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 production support for Java-based backend applications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor application health, logs, and system performance.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
• Handle database-related issues, query optimization, and data validation.
• Create and maintain incident reports, SOPs, and knowledge base documents.
• Support application releases, deployments, and post-release validations.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management rotations.

Mandatory Skills:

• Java Backend Development & Support
• SQL (Query writing, performance tuning, debugging)
• UNIX/Linux commands and system troubleshooting
• Shell scripting or Perl scripting
• Strong experience in L3 Production Support environments

Good to Have:

• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
• Knowledge of log monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in ITIL processes and incident/change management
• Banking, Telecom, or Enterprise application support experience
