Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend L3 Production Support Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues in enterprise-scale applications. The role requires strong backend expertise, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to ensure system stability, availability, and performance in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L3 production support for Java-based backend applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor application health, logs, and system performance.
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- Handle database-related issues, query optimization, and data validation.
- Create and maintain incident reports, SOPs, and knowledge base documents.
- Support application releases, deployments, and post-release validations.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management rotations.
Mandatory Skills:
- Java Backend Development & Support
- SQL (Query writing, performance tuning, debugging)
- UNIX/Linux commands and system troubleshooting
- Shell scripting or Perl scripting
- Strong experience in L3 Production Support environments
Good to Have:
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
- Knowledge of log monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in ITIL processes and incident/change management
- Banking, Telecom, or Enterprise application support experience
