Java Software Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an API Java Developer based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The API Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions, emphasizing API integrations and microservices. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, deploying features using the Spring Framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices in development. Additional tasks include troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.

Qualifications

• API Integrations (Java)
• Experience: 4-8 Years of relevant software development experience
• Education - BE / BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline Degree from a reputed / good engineering college

Role Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in integrating external systems through APIs.
• The role involves building, consuming, and maintaining RESTful services in an enterprise backend environment, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs with external partner systems
• Work extensively with REST / JSON-based request and response handling
• Implement validations, exception handling, logging, and error management
• Deploy and manage applications on JBoss 7.4
• Collaborate with internal teams for integration, testing, and deployment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and backend services
• Work with relational databases for data persistence and querying
• Follow secure coding standards and enterprise development best practices

Technical Skills

• Java (JDK 17) ? RESTful API development and integration
• JSON handling ? Web/Application Server: JBoss 7.4
• Backend Database: AWS RDS
• SQL Server Enterprise Edition
• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, status codes, and API lifecycle
• Experience in cloud-based environments (AWS)
• Knowledge of API security (authentication, authorization)
• Exposure to performance tuning and scalability
• Experience in enterprise or integration-heavy systems
