Senior Software Engineer Application Focus

Note: As discussed, finding candidates with strong expertise in both Java and Python is challenging. We will primarily consider candidates with strong Java skills. Python experience is a good-to-have .

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience building applications using Java , Spring Boot , or similar frameworks
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services , including:
• S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, WebSockets
• SQS, SNS, Lambda, Kinesis
• ElastiCache / Redis
• Strong understanding of Java concurrency , concurrency patterns, and experience in building thread-safe, high-performance code
• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design principles , design patterns, and development methodologies
• Experience working with search engines such as Apache Solr , Elasticsearch , or equivalent
• Experience with PostgreSQL , Oracle , or equivalent enterprise RDBMS
• Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) , JUnit , Maven , and Git (repository management)

Good to Have

• Proficiency in Python and Python backend services (APIs, deployment, scaling)
• Experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming
• Exposure to Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
• Load testing tools such as Locust or JMeter
• Experience with Splunk
• Containerization and orchestration tools: Docker , Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

• Self-motivated and professional; able to complete tasks without frequent follow-ups

Work & Time Zone Requirements

• Support required during IST hours
• Must be available until 1:00 / 1:30 PM EST , with at least 4 hours of EST overlap
• After onboarding, the candidate should require minimal support from the EST team
• Must proactively pick up JIRA stories , participate in solutioning, and communicate effectively
• Willing to work 2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST to align with the US EST time zone
