Java L3 Support Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end application and cloud support across AWS environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of production systems.
• Actively participate in incident management lifecycle, including incident detection, triage, root cause analysis (RCA), resolution, and post-incident reporting in line with ITIL practices.
• Monitor, manage, and resolve batch-processing jobs, ensuring timely execution, handling failures, and implementing preventive fixes to avoid recurrence.
• Develop, debug, and maintain backend code using Java and Python, adhering to Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and coding best practices.
• Support and enhance AWS services, including troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues and collaborating with DevOps and platform teams.
• Perform code reviews, bug fixes, and performance tuning to improve system stability and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders) using clear and effective communication.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and incident reports to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Ensure adherence to SLA commitments, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Support onboarding and transition activities, contributing immediately due to availability for immediate onboarding.

Experience: Possesses over 5 years of professional experience, with a strong and proven background in handling AWS services and providing comprehensive support.

Communication: Demonstrates excellent and clear communication skills, vital for effective team collaboration and stakeholder interaction.

Technical Expertise:

• Programming: Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with practical experience in languages such as Java and Python.
• Batch-Processing: Proven ability to effectively manage and resolve issues related to batch processing.
• Incident Management: Experienced in the full lifecycle of incident management, from identification to resolution.
• Development: Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining code to ensure robust system performance.
