Role Description

This is a full-time, fully remote role for a Cloud Engineer with strong Java expertise . The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based Java applications and infrastructure across modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise and web-based applications with a strong focus on backend engineering and cloud-native architectures.
• Solid Java development experience using modern JDK versions and the Spring Framework, with a backend-centric full-stack approach.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, with working knowledge of GraphQL and gRPC for service communication.
• Familiar with API security concepts, including authentication, authorization, throttling, caching, logging, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) for building, deploying, and managing scalable cloud-based solutions.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices to automate application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong experience with Linux systems, including command-line administration, system troubleshooting, and server/network configuration.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, data relationships, and system integrations.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, cloud-native development practices, and 12-Factor App principles, including participation in monolith-to-microservices initiatives.
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes, supporting deployment, scaling, and operation of containerized applications.
• Comfortable working in Agile/DevOps environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams.
