Java Developer

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Background/context:

• The position is based in India and will require the candidate to work as a full-stack developer for Collateral platform in Citigroup Ltd.
• This role will report to the Team lead in Pune.
• Candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

• Candidate will work independently and should be highly self-motivated

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Elegant solutions and Architectural solutions in Web App.
• Develop visually appealing front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain, robust, resilient, scalable, high-quality software.
• Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
• Stay current and provide insight on cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors.
• Design, maintain core UI Components

Knowledge/Technical Experience:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer (Angular and Java) or Java Developer.
• Comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries if required.
• Strong experience on Core Java 8+, Spring, Spring boot and good to have Reactive programming and Apache Ignite.
• knowledge on UI frameworks such as Angular 2+ and RXJS
• Fluent in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript and HTML5, with an understanding of CSS pre-processors including Sass and LESS and good to have Flexbox, Animation, SVG, Canvas.
• Knowledge of WebSocket programming.
• Knowledge of Cloud Platform like OpenShift etc.
• Desirable Skills (Not Necessary):
  • UI Unit test frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor)
  • Java Junit testing using Junits, Mockito, TestNG
  • Experience on Hibernate, JPA is a plus.

• Knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins/Team city
• Knowledge of version control tool such as GIT

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in programming/debugging used in business applications
• Working knowledge of industry practice and standards
• Comprehensive knowledge of specific business area for application development
• Working knowledge of program languages
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
