Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and JPA.
Core Java Fundamentals:
Deep understanding of Collections, concurrency, thread pools, JVM basics, and exception handling best practices.
Experience with JVM tuning, garbage collection, and memory leak diagnosis.

Enterprise Java / Transactions:

Strong grasp of EJB concepts (Stateless/Stateful), JTA basics, transaction propagation & rollback behavior, and container-managed vs programmatic transactions.
Asynchronous / Messaging Concepts:
Proficiency in JMS fundamentals, message lifecycle, retry handling, and idempotency awareness.
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and message-driven microservices.
JPA / Persistence Layer:
Expertise in entity lifecycle, persistence context, lazy vs eager loading, and handling N+1 issues.
Strong understanding of transaction boundaries and optimization techniques in JPA.

SQL & Query Performance:

Deep knowledge of indexing strategies, query optimization, and explain plan analysis.

Production Debugging & Performance:

Proven ability to diagnose connection leaks, thread pool exhaustion, slow application performance, and high CPU/memory usage.
Hands-on experience with JVM monitoring tools (JVisualVM, JMC), thread dumps, heap dumps, and profiling.

Code Quality & Testing:

Strong unit testing approach using JUnit, Mockito, and TestNG.
Adherence to clean code practices, structured exception handling, and defensive programming.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare (HIPAA), FinTech (PCI DSS), education SaaS, or enterprise digital platforms.
Certification in AWS, GCP, or Azure (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).
Hands-on experience with observability tools, distributed tracing (Jaeger, Zipkin), and log aggregation.
Knowledge of AI/ML integration into backend systems (e.g., recommendation engines, anomaly detection).
Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers and managing offshore/onshore delivery.
Exposure to AI-powered development tools like AiDE Agent for code generation, testing, and automation.
