Java Backend Engineer

We are looking for a strong Java Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in large-scale data processing and real-time streaming systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java Spring Boot API development along with strong exposure to Apache Flink, Apache Spark, or Hadoop/HDFS-based Big Data environments.

You will design and build scalable backend systems capable of processing high-volume real-time and batch data streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for large-scale distributed systems
• Develop real-time streaming pipelines using Apache Flink or Apache Spark
• Work with Apache Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce) for batch processing
• Implement scalable event-driven architectures for real-time data ingestion and processing
• Optimize data processing performance and ensure low-latency, high-throughput systems
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical design reviews

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (Jbava 8+)
• Proven experience building REST APIs using Spring Boot
• Experience with at least one:
• Apache Flink
• Apache Spark (Batch/Streaming)
• Apache Hadoop / HDFS ecosystem
• Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven systems
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and concurrency
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka (preferred)
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred)
