Java Backend Engineer (5–7 Years Experience)

Location : Noida

Were building next-generation digital products transforming how energy and utilities operate from smart-meter data to grid analytics dashboards.

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in building high-performance, scalable backend systems . The ideal candidate should be hands-on with modern distributed architectures and capable of owning services end-to-end from design to deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and optimize backend services using Java and microservices architecture .
• Develop scalable, resilient APIs and distributed systems capable of handling high throughput.
• Implement event-driven designs using Kafka and ensure reliable messaging flows.
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes .
• Write clean, high-quality, and maintainable code with strong emphasis on unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect robust backend components.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and improve application throughput and latency.
• Ensure security, fault tolerance, and operational excellence across deployments.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 57 years of hands-on experience developing backend systems in Java .
• Deep understanding of microservices design principles , scalability patterns, and distributed system fundamentals.
• Strong experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, partitions, offsets, schema registry, etc.).
• Solid understanding of unit testing , including JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and writing efficient code.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Prior experience building high-volume, mission-critical backend applications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
