Java AWS Developer

THIS IS A 6 MONTHS CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS (ECS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS). Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Kafka/Flink, and observability tools like Splunk or Dynatrace is a strong plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot frameworks
• Solid experience building REST APIs and integrating with other services
• Experience working with AWS cloud services such as ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience building scalable, cloud-native microservices
• Strong understanding of design patterns, multi-threading, and concurrency
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java-based services and applications.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including architecture, design, development, testing, and release.
• Build and enhance REST-based services that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Break down complex technical problems into well-defined, manageable components.
• Monitor and support large-scale production applications; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Improve development processes, automation, and overall engineering effectiveness.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building and operating SaaS applications at scale
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink-based streaming systems
• Familiarity with Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with testing frameworks and performance tools (JUnit, Blazemeter, etc.)
• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• AWS Certification is a plus
• Strong Agile mindset with experience working in Scrum / iterative delivery models
