Summary of the role

We are currently recruiting for a Japanese Language Expert to support our internal teams and client engagements by bridging language and cultural gaps, enabling effective communication, and contributing to project success

What You Will Do

• Act as a bridge between Japanese clients and internal project teams by providing accurate translation and interpretation
• Translate key business documents, presentations, and reports from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Interpret during meetings, calls, and presentations, ensuring clarity and cultural sensitivity
• Conduct secondary research in Japanese to support market assessments, industry overviews, and competitor benchmarking
• Help prepare client proposals and pitch documents, maintaining consistency in tone and terminology
• Coordinate schedules, calls, and follow-ups between stakeholders in Japan and India
• outreach and sales strategy for a university looking to enter into Indian market for ee sales.
• Support the team in understanding and navigating Japanese business practices and etiquette

Experience & Preferred Skills

• JLPT N2 or N1 certification is mandatory
• Excellent command over English and Japanese (both written and verbal)
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Japanese language, international business, or related fields
• Minimum 13 years of experience in translation, interpretation, or working with Japanese clients
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture and etiquette
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of translation tools is a plus
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams
