Role Overview

We are looking for a Japanese Language AI Specialist to support the development and enhancement of multilingual AI capabilities across our platforms, particularly Collatio (Intelligent Document Processing) and Auriga (Conversational AI). This role will focus on enabling high-accuracy Japanese language understanding, document extraction, entity recognition, and conversational training for enterprise AI deployments.

As a Japanese Language AI Specialist, you will collaborate closely with product, data science, and AI engineering teams to improve Japanese OCR outputs, NLP models, document classification, and voice-based conversational flows. This role is ideal for someone fluent in Japanese with a strong interest in AI, linguistics, and multilingual product development.

Key Responsibilities

Multilingual AI Training and Support

• Support Japanese language dataset creation for document intelligence and conversational AI
• Assist in training and fine-tuning NLP models for Japanese entity recognition, intent detection, and classification
• Validate and improve Japanese OCR outputs for structured and unstructured documents
• Help optimize conversational flows for Japanese voice and chatbot deployments

Document Intelligence (IDP) Enablement

• Annotate and validate Japanese-language documents, including financial statements, invoices, forms, and contracts
• Identify linguistic edge cases in Japanese scripts (Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana)
• Support rule creation for extraction accuracy and entity mapping
• Collaborate in improving model accuracy for multilingual document workflows

Conversational AI (Auriga) Enhancement

• Support Japanese intent classification and dialogue design
• Review chatbot and voice bot responses for linguistic correctness and contextual accuracy
• Assist in training conversational AI systems for enterprise-grade deployments
• Provide feedback on natural language tone and cultural localization

Quality Assurance and Localization

• Conduct linguistic QA for Japanese AI outputs
• Identify contextual errors and ambiguity in translations or AI responses
• Maintain glossaries and terminology standards for domain-specific language
• Support localization efforts across BFSI, logistics, and enterprise domains

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above preferred; N1 is a strong advantage)
• Strong written and reading skills in Japanese
• Basic understanding of NLP, AI, or data annotation processes
• Experience in localization, translation, linguistic QA, or language training
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Good English communication skills
