Role Description

  • The ServiceNow Solution Architect - ITSM guides and owns the delivery of ServiceNow implementations by providing mentorship and thought leadership to both our client and internal resources in platform design, integration design, development standards, platform management methods, and technology strategy consulting.
  • Design, implement, and optimizes IT service management solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices, often using platforms like ServiceNow.
  • Ensuring that the new solutions fit into the existing enterprise architecture from the technical, business, user, and other views.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the strategic technical roadmap for ITSM platforms.
  • Design and architect ITSM solutions
  • Advise customers on the drivers for executing organizational change and adopting technologies.
  • Design and architect solutions for various ITSM processes, such as incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Develop and maintain ITSM process documentation and procedures.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within ITSM processes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of ITSM practices through resource sharing and feedback loops.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Ensure solutions fit within the existing enterprise architecture.
  • Create blueprints and reference architectures for ITSM solutions
  • Knows what frameworks, platform application, or technical stack can be used to create a solution.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of ITSM processes, technologies, and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in ITSM.
  • Advise on the adoption of agile methods of delivery and their impact on IT operations.
  • Design and direct governance activities to ensure enterprise solutions architecture compliance.
  • Recognizes how the ServiceNow application will look, what modules will be in scope, and how they will interact with each other
  • Be aware of how the ServiceNow digital solution will scale in the future and how it will be supported.
  • Knowledge about Configuration vs. Customization
  • Technical Debt
  • Can define the Risk vs. Value Proposition for third party integrations with ServiceNow
  • Skilled at clearly defining for customers how Governance works with respect to the platform and how it works with respect to the project.
  • Clearly defines what Organizational Change Management is and why it is a key component of a successful project.
  • Mentor and guide senior consultants, developers, and project teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and maintaining the technical integrity of the solution.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, or the Sciences
  • Should have their Certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, (required)
  • Has a high-level of understanding in scripting and app development, including familiarity with web services, API’s.
  • 5+ years of architecting ITSM solutions in the ServiceNow platform
  • ServiceNow scripting and JavaScript are required.
  • Angular JS, Soap, Rest, JSON, Ajax, CSS, SaSS, HTML5, SP Widgets, and XML are all desired.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
