Job Description

As a member of the Rockwell Automation IT organization, you will join our transformation journey as we seek to improve and push boundaries. In this role you will be a member of the IT SAM team which focuses on Maintaining complete, accurate records and conducting regular audits are crucial to ensuring the effectiveness of the program. Collaborate with business, technology, and security leaders to ensure optimization and security of assets through their lifecycles from procurement to disposal on behalf of the greater Rockwell organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Enablement
    • Assist with contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and minimize costs for software licensing, maintenance, and services
    • Track metrics and create reporting to address management requirements to obtain information
    • Reporting of the software installations and used licenses (gather and consolidate data, create software installation reports)
    • Maintenance of relevant customer software catalogues and pricing
    • Helps maintain information in the Enterprise IT Asset Management solution (Snow Atlas) to ensure purpose and functionality closely aligns with business procedures, directions, and strategies
    • Assist with Contract Review workflow and reporting
    • Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, IT team members and vendors
    • Validate Software and Technology entitlements and provide installation expertise, use rights and conditions, license metrics and counting rules, and interpretation of Software, and license types
    • Analyse and monitor Software Vendor's License terms and conditions and IT contract performance and compliance

  • Business Value Realization & Process Improvement
    • Advocating firm's standard / best practices and make sure they are adhered to
    • Drive towards elimination or reallocation of unused software licenses
    • Enforce license compliance, perform internal audit and inventory follow up
    • Perform regular status updates to affected management teams about the software asset situation (volumes, utilizations etc)
    • Assist with the strategic development and daily operation of the organization's software asset management processes and systems (SNOW)

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, technology, or related field
  • Experience with Snow License Manager or Snow Atlas Software Asset Management programs
  • Experience with IT standards such as ITIL, SAM and CSAM/CITAM
  • Embraces agility, flexibility, and ambiguity.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate.
  • Has a strong customer-oriented attitude while driving change and results.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 2 or more years of experience in IT.
  • The ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences.
  • Advanced MS excel (can perform complex functions) - at least 1 year experience
