IT Senior Data Analyst - AVP

We are seeking a dynamic Tableau Analyst to join our Tools and Reporting team. This role is pivotal in crafting insightful and actionable dashboards and providing essential PMO support for successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong data experience, including proficiency in data manipulation tools such as Tableau, Python, or Knime, and have familiarity with project management methodologies. Additionally, expertise in building Tableau dashboards to effectively visualize metrics and the ability to extract data and construct comprehensive data models is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Tableau Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards to visualize complex datasets effectively.

• Use Tableau Prep for data cleaning, transformation, and preparation for analysis.

• Develop complex calculations and custom formulas within Tableau to meet specific analytical needs.

• Optimize dashboard performance for efficient data retrieval and rendering.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within dashboards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard designs.

• Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.

• Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.

• 5+ years of hands on experience is required.

PMO Support:

• Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects related to data visualization and analytics.

• Apply project management methodologies such as Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall to manage project tasks and timelines.

• Track project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively address issues to ensure project success.

• Communicate project status updates to stakeholders.

• Maintain project documentation and artifacts.

• Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.

Data Expertise:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of data concepts, including data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

• Be familiar with Tableau Prep, Python, or Knime to manipulate and transform data for use in Tableau dashboards.

• Understand database concepts and write SQL queries to extract data.

• 5+ years of hands on experience is required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tableau Developer with a strong portfolio of interactive dashboards.

• Proficiency in Tableau Prep for data cleaning and transformation.

• Experience in creating complex calculations and custom formulas in Tableau.

• Solid understanding of data concepts, including data modeling and ETL processes.

• Experience with Python and Knime for data manipulation.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Knowledge of PTS (Project Tracking System) or similar project management tools is preferred.

• Experience with data visualization best practices is required.

• Tableau certification is required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
