IT Risk & Control Specialist (Data analytics)

Your role

Do you have strong analytical skills? Are you familiar with statistical concepts and able to transform data into bespoke content? Do you want to help us expand our data platform?

We’re looking for a data and reporting analyst in the Data Confidentiality Protection organization to:

• provide data analysis / investigations for the Data Confidentiality Protection business, risk and senior management topics
• create consolidate relevant reporting and analytics
• interact and with data source owners and advise on the remediation of misplaced data
• drafting of meeting minutes and action plans and track the closure of action items
• develop and maintain an effective network of relationships with stakeholders and control functions
• handle queries and escalations from a variety of business divisions
• demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills and incorporate team player ethic

Your team

You will be working in a global team that manages and performs controls related to Data Protection. The responsibility are under the Data Protection Confidentiality shop, embedded within the Group Technology, TISO. The team is main focus is to detect, identify and protect Client Identifying Data (CID) stored within the bank's software components and applications in accordance with international legal requirements and various UBS policies.

Your expertise

• ideally 5+ relevant experience of working in data analysis in operations data or platform data
• along with strong analytical skills, DB knowledge of (Azure, Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase etc.) is a plus
• user experience with Alteryx, SQL queries and MS Office is an added advantage
• self-driven and focused on the details, with a sound understanding of the banking industry
• strong communicator, with a collaborative personality and the ability to complete tasks independently
• fluent in English to collaborate with multinational teams
