• Position: IT Infrastructure Specialist Server / Database
• Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer Server / Database (1 FTE)
• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
• Department: AIM
• Reports To: Line Manager Infrastructure
• Supervisory Role: Yes, but without staff responsibility

1. Purpose of the Role

The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for maintaining the operation of Unix and/or Windows-based operating systems and Oracle and/or SQL databases operated via TAI.

The role includes processing relevant documentation, coordinating with internal and external specialist departments and plants, ensuring timely project execution, and providing support during malfunctions and critical situations.

This is an individual contributor role.

2. Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Change Management

• Coordinate requirements with specialist departments
• Evaluate inquiries and provide architectural advice where required
• Coordinate and commission external service providers
• Manage project implementation and monitor budgets
• Collaborate with network teams and IT/OT security officers

Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities

• Control capacity management
• Coordinate yearly lifecycle planning
• Plan budgets for projects and operational maintenance
• Control project and operational budgets
• Manage license management and procurement
• Trigger procurements based on capacity management outcomes
• Maintain operation-related documentation

Operations Coordination

• Coordinate between service providers, specialist departments, and vendors
• Develop and test contingency plans

Incident & Crisis Management

• Take the lead during crisis situations
• Develop and implement emergency solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
• Communicate escalations to senior management
• Support incident and problem analysis (RCA)
• Track corrective and preventive actions through change management

Technical Administration

• Administration tasks for AIX / Linux / Windows systems
• Administration tasks for SQL and Oracle databases
• Implement and maintain automation concepts and tools

• Windows / Linux / AIX
• MS SQL / Oracle
• Experience applying technical knowledge at certification level (e.g., MCSA, RHCE)

• Experience with cloud-native platforms:
• Azure migrations
• IaaS automation
• Advanced knowledge of network design and architecture
• Licensing knowledge within area of responsibility
• Project management experience
• Strong understanding of the ITIL process framework

3.3 Preferred Technical Competencies

• Scripting for proactive monitoring (PowerShell / Python)
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins)

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

4. Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelors degree in IT
• ITIL certification
• Technical certifications such as MCSA or RHCE

Experience

• Minimum 34 years of experience in a similar IT Infrastructure role
