IT Automation Engineer - Intern

In this position, you will be working with our IT Ops team to help drive innovation and optimization in overall organization specific IT Ops manual efforts and. Cost reduction. You will manage key parts of our IT Operation in terms of building automation.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Automation Intern who is passionate about scripting and IT automation. You will work with the IT Operations team to automate routine administrative tasks across Microsoft and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build automation using PowerShell and Python
• Design workflows in Power Automate
• Automate IT admin tasks, including:

a. License assignment

b. User provisioning & offboarding

c. Access & role management

• Automate operations across Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure
• Manage automation for Microsoft Teams and Slack
• Automate Windows & Linux server administrative tasks
• Integrate with APIs (REST, Microsoft Graph)
• Identify repetitive tasks and proactively drive automation initiatives

Minimum Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelors /Diploma degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong PowerShell scripting expertise
• Strong Python automation experience
• Well-versed in REST API integrations
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
• Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID (handling groups)
• Windows & Linux administration knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting & analytical skills
• Ability to work in challenging tasks and fuel learning capabilities

Location: Chennai

Duration: 6 months (Full-time convertible on performance)

Stipend: As per company norms
