IT Asset Management Specialist

• Job Location: Bangalore, ITPB Whitefield

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Specialist to join our IT team. In this entry-level role, you will support the management of the organization's IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the inventory management of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.

• Maintain and update asset records in the asset management system.

• Support the procurement process by tracking asset requests and ensuring timely delivery.

• Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Collaborate with IT teams to assist in the deployment and disposal of IT assets.

• Help create and maintain documentation related to asset management processes and procedures.

• Generate reports on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status.

• Provide support for asset-related inquiries from internal teams and stakeholders.

• Stay updated on best practices in IT asset management and industry trends.

• Understand software asset management principles

• Provide excellent customer service for incoming software requests

• Lead software renewal efforts and identify license re-harvesting opportunities

• Proactively review license availability and consumption status of software licensing pools and perform reconciliation analysis of IT software contracts

Technical Experience:

• Conceptional knowledge of Information Technology

• IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience (specific experience with Jira Service   Management and Tanium a plus)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Basic understanding of IT asset management principles and practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with asset management software or databases is a plus.
