We are now looking to strengthen our inventory planning and distribution function to support this growth sustainably.

Role Overview

The Inventory Planning & Distribution Manager will be responsible for end-to-end inventory allocation, replenishment, and size availability across all sales channelsoffline retail, MBOs, and online platforms. The role is critical in ensuring optimal stock depth, minimal size breakage, and healthy sell-through without overstocking.

This role works closely with production, sales, merchandising, and online teams and sits at the intersection of demand planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Allocation

• Create channel-wise inventory plans for:
• Own retail store (Ambience Mall, Gurgaon)
• Premium MBOs (COYU, Iconic, Kapsons, Broadway, etc.)
• Smaller MBOs
• Online channels (Website, Nykaa Fashion, Myntra, AJIO Luxe)
• Allocate inventory by SKU, size, and channel based on historical data and sell-through trends
• Maintain size curve discipline to avoid broken sizes across platforms

Replenishment & Stock Rotation

• Design and manage weekly / fortnightly replenishment cycles
• Track stock movement and trigger timely replenishment for fast-moving SKUs
• Identify slow movers early and plan:
• Inter-store transfers
• Channel re-routing
• Exit or markdown strategies

Sell-Through & Performance Tracking

• Monitor and analyse:
• Sell-through %
• Size availability %
• Inventory ageing
• Channel-wise stock productivity
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory performance reports
• Recommend corrective actions to improve stock efficiency and reduce dead inventory

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with:
• Production & sourcing teams for buy quantities
• Sales teams for store-level feedback
• E-commerce team for online availability and promotions
• Support new store launches with opening stock plans and depth planning

Systems & Process Ownership

• Own inventory workflows within ERP / OMS systems
• Ensure accurate stock visibility across all channels
• Help build scalable SOPs for inventory distribution as the brand expands

• Inventory ageing & dead stock reduction
• Replenishment efficiency
• Markdown dependency reduction

• 47 years of experience in inventory planning / merchandise planning
• Background from:
• Fashion / lifestyle brands
• Marketplaces or large retail setups
• Strong understanding of:
• Size curves
• Multi-channel distribution
• Retail + online inventory dynamics
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• Comfortable working in a fast-growing, founder-led environment
