Job Description

Role type: Internship (students / fresh graduates)

Duration: 3-6 months (flexible)

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Start: ASAP

Stipend: Paid (based on skill level)

What youll do

You will support our content and design team by creating and animating simple, appealing characters and assets for short videos and product-related visuals. This is a hands-on internship with real production output and rapid feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Design clean 2D character assets (poses, expressions, mouth shapes, hands/arms, props).
  • Prepare production-ready layered files (well-separated parts, consistent naming, organized structure).
  • Rig characters for animation using one or more of:
  • Adobe After Effects (Puppet tools / deformers / controller layers)
  • Adobe Character Animator and/or Cartoon Animator 5
  • Adobe Animate (optional)
  • Animate short scenes and loops (acting beats, reactions, simple cycles).
  • Create reusable templates (rigs, poses, common motions) to speed up production.
  • Use AI image tools for concept exploration and quick variations, then convert to usable final assets.

Tools you may use

  • Adobe Illustrator (primary for vector character parts)
  • Adobe After Effects (primary for rigging/animation)
  • Adobe Animate / Cartoon Animator 5 / Adobe Character Animator (optional)
  • AI image generation tools (for ideation and variations)

Who this is for

  • Final-year students, fresh graduates, or early-career designers/animators.
  • You have a portfolio (even student work is fine) showing interest in character work and animation.

What were looking for

  • Fundamentals: clear shapes, readable poses, basic timing and motion.
  • Comfort working with layers and structure (not one flat image).
  • Ability to follow a consistent style and take feedback quickly.
  • Reliability: you can commit consistent weekly hours and hit deadlines.

Nice to have (not required)

  • Any rigging experience (bones, deformers, facial rigs).
  • Simple 3D familiarity (optional).
  • Basic motion graphics sense (text/scene composition).

Portfolio / submission requirements

Please share:

  • A portfolio link (Behance/Drive/YouTube is fine)
  • 23 examples of character design and/or animation
  • Your tool comfort level (Illustrator / AE / others)
  • Availability (hours per week) + internship duration you can commit

What youll get

  • Real production experience with fast iteration cycles
  • Guidance on building clean files, reusable rigs, and animation workflows
  • A stronger portfolio with shipped work
