We are currently seeking a specialist in project planning and management information systems to sit within a recently established Project Monitoring Group supporting a multi-region win with a Client in the Financial Services sector. The Project Management Group is a strategic oversight function within a broader operating model that has oversight of the Client’s capital projects programme. This role requires interacting with and reporting to members of the Client’s Corporate Real Estate Leadership team and other senior leaders within the Client organisation.
The roles and responsibilities of the Project Management Group are to act as a co-ordinating function consolidating the inputs from the Clients PMO provider(s) to track and report on performance of the regional programmes of work alongside the provision of effective governance and compliance with the Clients policies and processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with both Account Management and the Project Delivery office(s) to ensure effective communication with the Client on the performance of the programme. This role requires strong analytical, organisational, communication, and project management skills alongside a deep understanding of project management best practices, including the analysis of project programmes and budgets alongside the monitoring of project risks.
The role is based in the Client’s offices in Mumbai, and subject to their flexible working policy
Key Roles and responsibilities
- Monitor project plans and critical path for international projects, ensuring proactive risk management and operational risk mitigation.
- Track overall project schedules, including those of other delivery stakeholders within the Client’s organisation (Technology, Security, Shared Services, Facilities Management and others)
- Collaborate with the respective Project Delivery office(s) in APAC and EMEA on upcoming challenges and jointly monitor critical milestones
- Develop and maintain management information systems (MIS) for senior leadership reporting and updates
- Collaborate with the Client’s GPMO function on reports and risk assessment
- Work with the Client’s communications team to promote project and programme achievements
- Establish effective communication channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Project Management certification is a plus
- Proven experience in project planning and monitoring
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Proficient in using project management software and tools
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of typically expected policies, procedures, and reporting requirements within a Financial Services Client is advantageous
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment
