Job Title : Manager / Senior Manager International Business / Exports

Industry: Packaging Films, Plastic & Polymer Products, Flexible Packaging, Speciality Films.

Job Purpose:

To lead and expand the companys export business for packaging films and polymer-based products by developing international markets, managing overseas customers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute export sales strategies for packaging films (BOPP, BOPET, CPP, PE films, laminates, etc.).
• Identify and develop new international markets , distributors, and OEM customers.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing overseas clients to maximize repeat business.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements with global customers.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements in target regions.

Order Management & Execution

• Oversee end-to-end export order processing from enquiry to shipment and payment realization.
• Coordinate with production, planning, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with delivery schedules, specifications, and customer expectations.

Export Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to international trade regulations , export controls, and country-specific norms.
• Supervise export documentation, including:
• LC, DP/DA, Incoterms
• Commercial invoices, packing lists
• COO, COO (FTA), test certificates, MSDS
• Ensure compliance with customs, DGFT, GST, and other statutory requirements .

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA, and insurance providers.
• Optimize freight costs and transit timelines.
• Manage claims related to shortages, damages, or delays.

Financial & Risk Management

• Monitor export receivables and ensure timely payment realization .
• Manage credit limits and assess customer risk.
• Work closely with finance on forex exposure and pricing strategies.

Team Leadership (For Sr. Manager Role)

• Lead and mentor the export sales and documentation team.
• Set targets, monitor KPIs, and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering / Polymer / Plastics / Packaging / Business / International Trade
• MBA / PG Diploma in International Business (preferred)

Experience

• Manager: 610 years
• Senior Manager: 1015+ years
• Mandatory experience in exports of packaging films/plastics / polymer-based products
