About MARS Cosmetics:
As we enter our next phase of growth, Mars is looking to expand into international markets, beginning with UAE, followed by the UK and Europe, with a strong focus on marketplace-led ecommerce expansion. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to build Mars' international business from the ground up.
Role Overview:
The Head International Business Development will be responsible for building and scaling Mars Cosmetics' international presence from scratch. This role requires a hands-on builder who can identify market opportunities, launch marketplace operations, establish distributor partnerships, navigate regulatory requirements, and create the operational foundation for global growth.
Key Responsibilities:
International Market Entry-
- Develop and execute the international expansion strategy for Mars Cosmetics.
- Lead market entry for UAE as the first priority market, followed by UK and Europe.
- Identify the optimal go-to-market strategy including marketplaces, distributors, and strategic partnerships.
Ecommerce & Marketplace Expansion-
- Launch and scale Mars Cosmetics on Amazon UAE, Noon, Amazon UK, and Amazon EU marketplaces.
- Build and manage relationships with marketplace account managers and service providers.
- Optimize product listings, pricing, promotions, and marketplace marketing to drive growth.
Distributor & Partner Development-
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard local distributors and strategic partners in international market.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and growth plans.
- Build a scalable partner network for long-term expansion.
Regulatory & Compliance Setup-
- Manage international regulatory requirements including:
- UAE cosmetics registration
- UK Responsible Person compliance
- EU CPNP registration
- Work with regulatory consultants and agencies to ensure smooth market entry.
International Supply Chain & Logistics -
- Establish the international supply chain infrastructure including:
- Export documentation
- International warehousing and 3PL partners
- Marketplace fulfillment solutions (FBA / local fulfillment)
Pricing & Commercial Strategy-
Develop international pricing structures considering:
- Duties
- Logistics
- Marketplace fees
- Distributor margins
Ensure global pricing alignment with brand positioning.
International Growth Roadmap -
- Create and execute a 1224 month international expansion roadmap.
- Build scalable processes and playbooks for entering new markets.
Key Requirements:
- 812 years of experience in international business development or exports.
- Experience launching consumer brands in international markets.
- Prior exposure to beauty, cosmetics, personal care, or D2C brands preferred.
Marketplace Expertise -
Strong understanding of: Amazon Global, Selling Amazon UAE / UK / EU, Noon marketplace, International ecommerce logistics.
Market Expansion Experience-
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Launching brands in UAE / Middle East markets
- Expanding Indian brands to UK or EU
- Building distributor networks internationally
Builder Mindset-
- Entrepreneurial and highly resourceful.
- Comfortable building processes from scratch.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
What Success Looks Like (First 18 Months) -
Mars Cosmetics successfully launched on Amazon UAE and Noon Establishment of distribution partnerships in the Middle East Launch of Mars on Amazon UK Creation of a scalable international expansion playbook.
