Internal Accountant-French Speaker

Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Accountant to support the bookkeeping, financial operations, and reporting activities of our French subsidiaries, Digidom and Companow . This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining reliable financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong accounting expertise, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment. This position requires a CPA or ACCA qualification and a solid understanding of core accounting principles, compliance, and financial controls. French language ability is essential , as the role involves reviewing French documents and interacting with French-speaking colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

• Record all financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Verify approvals and ensure proper supporting documentation is maintained.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records.
• Assist in preparing and posting month-end journal entries.
• Support the preparation of financial statements for internal review.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare financial statements, analyses, and reports for statutory purposes under French GAAP and for management reporting under IFRS .
• Ensure all financial reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with relevant standards and internal policies.

Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure all accounting practices comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation, schedules, and explanations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and uphold confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Required Qualifications

• CPA or ACCA qualification (mandatory).
• 34 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks and SAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• French speaker.
• Previous experience working with French entities or French accounting documents
