About PATH India

The Intern will collaborate closely with PATH’s dynamic team in India, which operates across 26 states, with specialized teams working on Health system strengthening, digital health, family health, infectious disease, technology, climate-health and vaccines.
 

Role Overview:

As an intern with PATH, you will engage in stimulating projects that drive public health advancements in India. The internship provides hand-on experience with a wide variety of health solution implemented across the nation. You will collaborate with experienced professionals and interact with stakeholders throughout the public health ecosystem in India. Engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders, including the Government of India, provides a unique opportunity to understand the Indian public health landscape and contribute to impactful initiatives in digital health, health system strengthening, climate, pandemic preparedness, and more. You will actively participate in projects led by various health teams with central and state governments in India, gaining firsthand experience in implementing comprehensive health solutions nationwide.

The intern will be based in New Delhi, India.


Overall Learning goals for the Intern include but are not limited to:

  • Gain hands-on health ecosystem, including but not limited to overall strategy and operations, while also developing a general understanding of cultural sensitivities and nuances. 

  • Gain skills in developing public health strategy, managing operations, and preparing technical reports, briefs, presentation for program deliverables and proposals.

  • Gain Research and Data Analysis skills in the field of public health, innovation, and emerging technology for developing public health strategy.

  • Gain experience working in multilingual, multi-cultural settings.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program teams to develop public health strategies, managing operations, and preparing technical reports and presentations.

  • Coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops, ensuring effective collaboration.

  • Undertake design, documentation, and report writing tasks, including creating visually appealing presentations.

  • Contribute to project management activities and attend team meetings to support planning and implementation of initiatives.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between the program team and other stakeholders.

  • Undertake creation of visually appealing presentations for updates and meeting

  • Conduct data analysis and secondary research to inform various project strategies.

  • Deliver any other need-based tasks as requested by the team.

Required Experience

  • The applicant should have completed or should be pursuing their graduation.

  • Have a basic understanding of public health components and the healthcare ecosystem.

  • Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis Skills.

  • High Level of Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver quality reports and presentations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple and competing demands and establish priorities; to remain flexible, and to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with individuals at all levels internally and externally, and effectively cultivate and manage relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to assimilate and understand sometimes complicated new subjects, including scientific, medical, and policy areas.

  • Professional fluency in English is required, including strong analytical, oral and writing skills in both languages.

  • Experience working in multilingual settings is desirable.

  • Comfortable in a wide range of cultural, geographic and operational situations, demonstrating culturally sensitive behavior with a diverse range of people and a deep commitment to development issues and high standards of personal integrity.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
