About the Program

The WRI India Core Communications team oversees the strategy and outreach for the Institute in support of WRI Indias leadership, program teams and functions.

Job Highlights

As part of the team, the candidate will be expected to contribute to ideating and creating engaging content including social media posts and videos to promote projects across various programs. The candidate will also be required to possess strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.

What you will do:

Digital Media Content Creation: Social Media, WhatsApp (70%)

• Develop communication materials tailored to different formats (like short video snippets, graphics, and reels) for different channels.
• Ability to edit videos (on Canva, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms) and create compelling short-form versions optimized for digital platforms.
• Support content planning, performance tracking, and reporting across digital platforms

Engagement Support (30%)

• Lend support during on-ground events internal and external.
• Help with proofreading and editing as needed.
• Ability to shoot video bytes (using a smartphone/DSLR) and create engaging short-form content.

What you will need:

• Master's degree in mass media/ public Relation/ journalism or similar degree (Final year students can apply)
• Video editing and basic graphic design skills are a must
• Strong writing and editing skills (in English)
• Excellent design aesthetics
• Enthusiasm, flexibility, technical curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of spoken Marathi a plus
