Interior Designer

SHEMFORD is inviting applications for a full-time Interior Designer (6-month on-site project) to lead the design and execution support for upgrading key school interior spaces in Gurugram.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role ideal for designers who enjoy creating child-centric learning environments that balance aesthetics, safety, durability, and cost-efficiency.

You will work on refreshing and enhancing critical school spaces including:

• Reception & Front Office Experience
• Classrooms & Learning Areas
• Activity Zones & Common Spaces
• Corridors & Wayfinding
• Staff Functional Areas

The goal is to create a modern, cheerful, practical, and child-safe school environment that reflects the SHEMFORD identity while supporting daily school operations.

• Space planning and layout optimization
• Concept development aligned with school branding
• Material and finish selection (durable, child-safe, easy maintenance)
• Vendor coordination and execution supervision
• BOQ support and cost alignment
• Site inspections and progress tracking
• Final execution review and handover

This is an on-site role, requiring consistent presence to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery.

You are a strong fit if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of interior design experience
• Experience handling execution-focused projects
• Strong space planning and practical layout skills
• Working knowledge of materials for high-traffic spaces
• Vendor coordination and on-site supervision experience
• Ability to produce clear 2D drawings and execution documents

• Experience in school / preschool / educational interiors
• Familiarity with child-safe finishes and ergonomic planning
• Experience designing reception/front-facing branded areas
• Local vendor network in Gurgaon

• Full-time engagement for 6 months
• On-site presence required
• Weekly progress tracking and milestone-based reviews
• Fast decision cycles (school timelines are time-sensitive)
