Interior Designer (Full-time, Bangalore)

Were looking for an Interior Designer with 35 years of experience who cares deeply about minimal, functional design and wants to grow with a small, design-led startup. This role will play a key part in evolving Lilas minimal aesthetic from kids furniture into adult spaces, across retail and residential interiors, and into larger spatial experiences when required.

Retail experience: A plus

• Develop clear, design-led interior concepts rooted in simplicity, function, and strong detailing
• Help evolve Lilas minimal design language from kids furniture into adult spaces, retail environments, and residential interiors
• Work on Lila Spaces projects as needed, from concept through execution
• Produce and coordinate detailed AutoCAD drawings including layouts, elevations, sections, and details
• Coordinate across consultants including HVAC, lighting, electrical, VM, and contractors
• Check drawings for accuracy, buildability, and alignment with design intent
• Work closely with materials, finishes, and samples
• Stay up to date with material trends, innovations, and retail execution practices
• Support site coordination and ensure quality during execution

• 35 years of experience in interior design or architecture studios
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and execution
• Experience in retail or commercial interiors is a plus
• Obsession with minimal, functional, well-resolved design
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams
• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving startup environment
• Available to join immediately
