Interior Designer - Internship

Location: Bangalore, India | Internship | On-Site

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer Intern to join our growing team. This is a hands-on internship where you will work alongside experienced designers and project leads, translating concepts into compelling spatial designs. If you have a passion for aesthetics, a sharp eye for detail, and the technical chops to bring ideas to life on screen -this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

Assist in developing interior design concepts, mood boards, and space planning layouts

Create and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and other CADD software

Prepare working drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings

Support senior designers in client presentations and design documentation

Research materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings (FF&E) as per project requirements

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately

Maintain and organise project files, drawing sets, and design libraries

Assist in site visits and inspections to understand space constraints and on-ground execution

What We're Looking For

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD - 2D drafting and detailing is a must

Familiarity with CADD software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar tools

Good understanding of design principles -space planning, colour theory, material selection, and lighting

Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail

Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into practical, visually compelling design solutions

Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and interior finishes

Good communication skills - ability to present and explain design ideas clearly

Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a team environment

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory

Knowledge of tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, CorelDRAW, or Adobe Suite is an advantage

A design portfolio showcasing projects, drawings, or concept work is highly preferred

CADD Software Work Samples

3D modelling work - room layouts, furniture design, or product mockups

Rendered images or walkthroughs showcasing your software proficiency

Screenshots or exports from Revit, SketchUp, or any CADD tool you have used

Academic or Live Project Work

Final year project or thesis design documentation

Internship project work (if prior experience exists)

Design competition entries or college project showcases
