Job Description
Role Overview (Read this carefully)
We are looking for a candidate with an interior design background who is passionate about creating educational and visual content for digital platforms.
This role is not about dancing reels or generic trending content.
It is about explaining interior design decisions , showcasing real projects, and building brand trust through consistent, high-quality video and visual storytelling.
You will work closely with designers, site teams, and the marketing team to document and publish content across:
Instagram & Facebook (Meta)
Google Business Profile
YouTube (Shorts + long-form over time)
Core Responsibilities
1. Content Planning & Ideation
Convert real interior projects into content ideas:
oBeforeafter transformations
oDesign explanations (why this layout, why this material)
oMistakes to avoid in home interiors
oSpace-saving and functional design tips
Plan content calendars for:
oReels / Shorts
oStatic posts & carousels
oLong-form YouTube (gradually)
Align content with the brands USP and positioning (functional, practical interiors).
2. Video Recording (Mobile-First)
Shoot videos using smartphone (iPhone/Android) with:
oProper framing, lighting, and angles
oSite walkthroughs
oDesigner explanation videos
Record:
oReels / Shorts
oHorizontal videos for YouTube
Coordinate with designers/site engineers for:
oOn-site shoots
oFactory or production videos (if required)
You are not expected to be a cinematographer, but you must know how to capture clean, usable footage .
3. Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit videos using mobile or desktop tools such as:
oCapCut / InShot / VN / Premiere Pro / Final Cut (any is fine)
Add:
oSubtitles
oBasic transitions
oBackground music (when relevant)
oBranding elements (logo, colours)
Optimize videos for each platforms format and duration.
4. Platform-Specific Publishing
Publish and manage content across:
oInstagram & Facebook
oYouTube (Shorts + videos)
oGoogle Business Profile posts
oPinterest boards & pins
Write captions that:
oExplain the design clearly
oAre simple and non-jargon heavy
oEncourage engagement and enquiries
Understand basic platform best practices:
oAspect ratios
oPosting frequency
oThumbnails and hooks
5. Design Accuracy & Brand Voice
Ensure all content:
oUses correct interior design terminology
oDoes not mislead customers
oReflects real, executable design practices
Maintain a consistent visual and communication style across platforms.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)
Background in Interior Design
(Degree / Diploma / Hands-on design experience)
Strong interest in content creation & social media
Comfortable appearing on camera or directing others on camera
Hands-on experience with mobile video recording
Basic to intermediate video editing skills
Ability to explain design concepts in simple, customer-friendly language
Good-to-Have (Strong Advantage)
Experience managing brand social media pages
YouTube content experience (even personal channel)
Pinterest content understanding
Basic knowledge of:
oLighting
oAudio quality
oFraming for small spaces
Familiarity with interior execution stages (design production installation)
Tools You May Use
Smartphone (primary shooting device)
Tripod, basic mic (company provided if needed)
CapCut / InShot / VN / Premiere Pro
Google Drive, Sheets, WhatsApp
Instagram, YouTube Studio, Meta Business tools
What This Role Is NOT
Not a graphic-design-only role
Not an influencer role
Not a purely marketing role without design understanding
Not limited to desk work (site visits are part of the job)
