Cognizant is seeking an Intelligence Analyst (Full-Time) to work out of its Joint Security Intelligence Center (JSIC) in
Chennai, India. The selected candidate will be expected to learn & adapt to JSIC roles and responsibilities, produce tactical &
strategic intelligence reports and other products relating to risks pertaining to Cognizant’s global footprint. The Intelligence
Analyst also serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for a specific region on all intelligence-related tasks including processes,
support requirements, technical aspects, and operational methods. The Analyst will be managing day-to-day production,
intelligence planning and product dissemination to Cognizant business and Corporate Security leaders. The Analyst supports
security teams globally, executive security services, event security, incident management support and travel security
operations. This position is accountable for researching raw data, analyzing the data, and generating reports forecasting risks
or an emerging situation. The analyst is expected to work on rotational shifts including night shift, weekend, and holidays.
Core Responsibilities
• Research, evaluate, integrate, and analyze all-source data in the preparation and presentation of clear, concise, and indepth intelligence analytical products.
• Provide consistent and constant monitoring of global incidents and events to determine their impact to Cognizant critical
assets. Analyze intelligence from a wide variety of open and closed sources.
• Develop expertise to discern trends and warnings, provide an accurate understanding of present and future threats.
• Implement and ensure proper protocols are followed, especially regarding designated alert protocols.
• Provide information that will assist Cognizant leadership teams/stakeholders in emergency situations.
• Ability to utilize various tools (Risk Intelligence, Traveler tracker, mass notification) to locate and alert during crisis.
• Provide continual evaluation of processes & procedures, make suggestions for improving methods, and services.
• Conduct research of open-source information/social-media in support of Corporate Security-Investigations.
• Liaising with Corporate Security peers to build and enhance human intelligence (HUMINT) networks.
• Maintain situational awareness tools to advise decision makers effectively.
• Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate complex intelligence findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to leverage specialized expertise and
resources for intelligence and command center operations.
• Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks, contingency plans, and business continuity strategies
based on intelligence insights and assessments.
• Participate in simulated exercises and crisis scenarios to test the effectiveness of security protocols and processes.
• Maintain a repository of historical intelligence data for reference and analysis purposes.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
• Bachelor or post-graduation degree preferably in Criminology & Criminal Justice Science, Geo-Politics, International
Relations, Security Studies, Defense and Strategic studies, Journalism & Mass Communication.
• Relevant work experience with intelligence advisory service providers and Security Operations Center (SOC)
o 1-3 years for Jr. Intelligence Analyst
• Internships in areas of corporate threat intelligence, command center operations, risk advisory agencies
• Excellent written and verbal communications with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Multi-tasking, sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
• Computer skills; Microsoft Office, infographic creation, data analytics and data visualization.
• Knowledge of global developments and ability to analyze potential impacts.
• Ability to build consensus among multiple constituencies and interact effectively at all levels.
• Readiness to work on rotational shifts including night shifts and holidays.
• Work Model – Chennai (Hybrid); Outside of Chennai – Remote options will be considered.
