What you’ll achieve

As an Integration Specialist, you will be designing and implementing integration solutions that connect various systems, applications, and data sources within the organization.

You will:

• Design and develop integration solutions to connect various enterprise systems, applications, and data sources.

• Define and implement integration architecture and best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain integration patterns, frameworks, and reusable components.

• Ensure the integration architecture aligns with the overall enterprise architecture and IT strategy.

• Manage the implementation of integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on integration-related matters.

• Additionally, they will be conversant with hospital systems integration, healthcare integration standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM), information coding systems and technologies (e.g. integration engines).

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices.

• Monitor and troubleshoot integration solutions, resolving any issues that arise.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in integration and middleware solutions.

Essential Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

• 6 – 10 Years of experience as an Integration or similar role in a complex enterprise environment.

• Analyse functional and non-functional requirements across a diverse set of business and technology scenarios.

• Strong proficiency in integration technologies and tools such as ESB, API gateways, message brokers, and ETL.

• Exposure with cloud-based integration platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, as well as other integration protocols.

• Knowledge of data modeling, data mapping, and transformation techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Ability to explain complex technology topics in easy-to-understand terms.

Desirable Requirements:

• Certification in integration or middleware technologies (e.g., Viaduct, Rhapsody).

• Knowledge with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git).

• Knowledge of security best practices for integration solutions.
