About the Company



To manage and oversee the complete insurance portfolio of the organization across multiple entities, ensuring adequate coverage, timely renewals, claim settlements, and compliance. The Insurance Manager will coordinate with insurers, surveyors, and third-party administrators to safeguard company assets, employees, and operations.

Responsibilities


  • Manage insurance portfolio worth approx. 2 crores across 56 entities.
  • Administer policies including:
  • Industrial All Risk (IAR)
  • Workman Compensation / Labour policies
  • Group medical insurance (GMC) for head office staff
  • Commercial vehicle insurance (5860 vehicles including tippers & personnel cars)
  • Ensure timely renewal and coverage adequacy for all insurance policies.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies for policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Liaise with surveyors for claim inspections and settlements.
  • Handle claims end-to-end: documentation, submission, follow-up, and resolution.
  • Work with third-party administrators (e.g., Volvo Health TPA) for group medical claims (cashless & reimbursement).
  • Maintain records of premiums, claims, and policy schedules for all entities.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory requirements related to insurance.
  • Provide periodic reports to management on insurance portfolio, claims status, and risk exposure.
  • Support new entity onboarding with appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Drive cost optimization while ensuring comprehensive risk protection.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in commerce / finance / business administration.
  • Preferred: MBA or Diploma in Insurance / Risk Management.
  • 37 years of experience in corporate insurance management, preferably in manufacturing or infrastructure industries.


Required Skills


  • Strong knowledge of corporate insurance policies (industrial, group medical, vehicle, labour).
  • Experience in claim handling and coordination with insurers, surveyors, and TPAs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and manage insurance across multiple entities.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience in corporate insurance management, preferably in manufacturing or infrastructure industries.


Pay range and compensation package

5-6 LPA
