Insurance Business Analyst (P&C – Policy Administration / Guidewire)

Role: Insurance Policy Business Analyst

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6-12 Months +

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Work Hours: (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST)

Location: Hybrid (3x days onsite) - Pune, India

Seeking an experienced Insurance Business Analyst to support the Guidewire Policy Center (Non-Admitted Production Support). Role includes ticket analysis, workflow support, requirements gathering, and collaborating with IT teams to improve system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor ticketing system, analyze incidents/requests, resolve or escalate.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Support workflows and provide expertise on workflow design.
• Gather and document business/functional requirements and user stories.
• Lead review sessions and obtain business approvals.
• Collaborate with dev/QA teams to ensure proper solution design.
• Support UAT planning, scripting, and execution.
• Recommend process improvements and ensure solution consistency.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years Business Analysis experience in Commercial P&C Insurance.
• Strong experience with policy administration systems.
• Hands-on experience writing BRDs/FRDs/user stories.
• Experience with integrations and troubleshooting system issues.
• Agile/iterative methodology experience (SDLC/PMLC knowledge).
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with Guidewire Policy Center.
• Experience with visualization tools.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, mockup tools.
