Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Designer with strong expertise in MicroStation and AutoCAD to join our engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the oil and gas sector, capable of producing detailed and accurate instrumentation designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce detailed instrumentation design drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD software.
• Interpret and incorporate project requirements, specifications, and standards into instrumentation design packages.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
• Review and modify instrumentation drawings based on feedback from project engineers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures.
• Maintain organized documentation and revision control of design deliverables.
• Participate in technical reviews and provide design input during project development stages.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of instrumentation design issues as required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 05 to 10 yrs of experience as an Instrumentation Designer in the oil and gas industry (pure oil and gas experience mandatory).
• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD software for instrumentation design.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation systems, control valves, transmitters, and related components.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and relevant codes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred:

• Experience working on offshore oil and gas projects.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and integration with other engineering disciplines.
