About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
- Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
- Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue
- Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
- Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Responsibilities:
- The candidate is expected to conduct Walk through (Process Risk Reviews) sessions for different operations teams with in Corporate Investment Banking(CIB) and socialize the team members in order to maintain a collaborative environment to perform process gap analysis, control testing, Metric Mapping, Identifying Key risk indicators and continuous monitoring.
- Is expected to understand various aspects in Risk and Control Framework, like RCSA, Incident Management, Issue Management, Control Testing and Validation.
- Team member heavily involves in interacting with EMEA business partners in delivering the responsibilities like control testing, Incident Reporting, Risk reviews.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering these work streams.
- For Self-Inspection Program(SIP), the candidate will work closely with EMEA(UK) manager on executing risk assessment of WFS Operations functions.
- For WFS Operations Strategy and Metrics, the candidate will contribute to the KRI/KPI/KCI metric platform for local teams across the organization as part of team strategy.
- Successful candidates will need to build and manage cross-functional, cross-organizational relationships through consistent collaboration.
- The individual will also work with technical and operational partners throughout WFS.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in operational risk management, incident management, Issue Management, Control Testing, RCSA is very much essential.
- Candidate is expected understand operational incidents/events(ICT) and should be capable to run throuhg the root causes with business team’s assistance. Good Written skills are very much needed.
- Understanding of Control Testing and its attributes and writing the testing script and summarizing, presenting the testing result to senior leadership is essential.
- Experience in Capital Market operations/middle office operations into the trade life cycle of static data, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and investigations.
- Good amount of working experience in the product classes like FX, equity, fixed income with the functional expertise of brokerage, broker dealer services.
- Moderate experience in Operational risk, specifically identifying and assessing the Key risks, Key Controls, and key risk indicators.
- English language proficiency. Ability to work nights
- Understanding of the process’s flows, process gaps and controls associated with a Capital Market operations/middle office operations.
- Knowledge of BCP and Risk Mgt.
Desired Qualifications :
- Understanding Capital Markets and the different product taxonomies within the business segments (FX, Derivatives, Brokerage)
- Knowing Risk function deliverables like Key Risks & Controls and the testing thereof
- Importance and role of MIS
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the systems: GMI, Intellimatch, Imagine, Broadridge, Calypso
- Good team player
- Working experience in Corporate investment banking in the capacity of operational risk role
