Role: Manager / Senior Manager Institutional Equity Sales

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 3+ Years in Institutional Equities Sales

Compensation: 15 LPA 30 LPA

Job Purpose

The primary focus of this role is to manage and grow relationships with Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) such as Mutual Funds and Insurance Companies, as well as Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) . You will act as the bridge between our Research Desk and the buy-side Fund Managers/Analysts to drive market share and brokerage revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Deepen existing relationships with Fund Managers, CIOs, and Buy-side Analysts at major AMCs and Insurance houses.
• Investment Advisory: Pitch high-conviction investment ideas, thematic reports, and sector notes generated by the in-house Research team.
• Corporate Access: Organize and facilitate corporate roadshows, management meetings, and site visits for institutional clients.
• Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed annual brokerage targets through high-quality service and proactive trade idea generation.
• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to provide actionable insights to clients.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Trading/Execution desk to ensure seamless trade flow and with the Research team to refine product offerings based on client feedback.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of core experience in Sell-side Institutional Equity Sales . Candidates from Equity Research looking to move into a front-end sales role may also be considered.
• Network: Strong existing connect with local Mutual Fund dealers and Buy-side analysts is a significant plus.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies (DCF, P/E, EV/EBITDA), and macroeconomic drivers.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex investment cases persuasively.
