Those in employment law, tax and payroll at PwC will specialise in providing comprehensive legal and financial consulting services related to human resources. You will work closely with clients to confirm compliance with employment law and tax requirements. You will be responsible for providing guidance on employment contracts, employee benefits, payroll taxes, and help organisations mitigate legal risks, optimise tax strategies, and confirm compliance with regulations to support effective human resource management.

Job Description & Summary:  

A career in our People Strategy practice, within People and Organisation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients reset their talent strategies and deliver extraordinary business results through their people. You’ll gain a tremendous depth of expertise in all aspects of human capital, including creating sustainable value through people culture and change, designing compensation and retirement strategies, and improving human capital operations. 
 
Our team helps organisations realise their business strategy and objectives through their people. As part of the team, you’ll help our clients diagnose their current organisational landscape and people strategy, map a workforce lifecycle and build an engagement story to bring the strategy to life, and implement the supporting infrastructure to ensure that our clients’ business strategy remains aligned and the organisation is engaged with the people strategy. 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Strong in data validation, reconciliation and analysis 

  • Thorough knowledge on Tax and Statutory around payroll 

  • Handling payroll related tax and statutory (PF, PT, ESIC and LWF) 

  • compliances – preparation, validation, filing through govt portal 

  • Documents checking – reimbursements / Tax proofs  

  • Employee query handling, handling issues work smartly, time and work management    

  • Retiral benefits (PF, NPS, Gratuity, Leave encashment, 

  • Superannuation fund etc) 

  • Computer proficiency – should be proficient in word, xls, power 

  • point, working in network environment, payroll software etc 

  • Visiting regulatory authorities for closure of payroll compliance 

  • related issues around PF, PT, LWF and ESIC 

  • Knowledge on employee life cycle management and HR operations 

  • Knowledge on new Labour codes
