Inside Sales Executive

Role OverviewWe are seeking an Inside Sales Executive who can combine strong sales execution with solid product understanding . The role requires the ability to understand the product, prepare for demos, read and interpret compliance requirements , and communicate value clearly to prospects. This position plays a critical role in lead conversion, customer education, and pipeline growth .
Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Qualification- Handle inbound and outbound leads from marketing campaigns, events, and referrals.
- Qualify leads using BANT / MEDDIC criteria.
- Maintain accurate lead and opportunity tracking in CRM.
- Develop strong understanding of the companys products, features, use cases, and differentiators .
- Map product capabilities to customer pain points and business requirements .
- Explain technical concepts in simple, business-friendly language .
- Be demo-ready on core product flows and standard use cases.
- Prepare demo environments by:
- Understanding demo scenarios
- Verifying data, dashboards, and workflows
- Conduct basic product demos independently (where applicable).
- Coordinate with pre-sales / systems engineering teams for advanced or customized demos.
- Capture demo feedback and follow up with prospects.
- Read and understand RFPs, RFIs, and compliance documents .
- Identify relevant compliance needs such as:
- CERT-In
- ISO 27001
- SOC
- Data privacy requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather compliance-related responses .
- Communicate compliance alignment clearly to customers.
- Manage sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
- Close small-to-mid value deals independently.
- Support enterprise and government deals by:
- Coordinating documentation
- Following up on technical and compliance queries
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow-up emails.
- Maintain clean and updated CRM records.
- Track follow-ups, call logs, demo outcomes, and deal stages.
- Follow internal sales processes and approval workflows.
- Work closely with:
- Marketing (lead quality feedback)
- Pre-sales / Systems Engineering (demos, POCs)
- Product team (feature clarifications)
- Compliance / Security teams
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to deployment/onboarding.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in inside sales or B2B software sales.
- Ability to handle objections and manage follow-ups professionally.
- Ability to quickly learn software and cybersecurity products .
- Comfortable with demos, dashboards, and workflows.
- Basic understanding of IT, cloud, security, or enterprise software concepts.
- Ability to read and understand technical and compliance documents .
- Attention to detail in responding to customer and RFP requirements.
- CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- MS Excel / Google Sheets for tracking
- Presentation tools (PPT, Google Slides)
- Qualified leads and conversion rate
- Demo readiness score & demo-to-conversion ratio
- Revenue achieved vs target
- Compliance/RFP response accuracy and timeliness
- CRM hygiene and follow-up adherence
