Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration with 4–7 years of hands-on experience.

Required Skills

Proficiency with Azure services like Azure Migrate, DMS, and potentially other related services like Azure SQL or other Azure database services.

o Experience with specific enterprise systems like JD Edwards and migrating them to the cloud is often a plus.

o Familiarity with migration strategies and the "7 Rs" framework can be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

· Assessment and planning:

· Discover and assess on-premises data estates, including identifying data types and quality.

· Determine the feasibility of moving specific workloads to Azure and identify potential blockers.

· Use tools like Azure Migrate to assess readiness and right-size the target Azure environment.

· Migration execution:

· Execute data migrations using services like Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) to move data, schema, and objects to Azure.

· Handle both online and offline migrations with a focus on minimizing downtime.

· Perform schema conversions when migrating between different database platforms.

· Post-migration activities:

· Conduct functional and performance validation to ensure the migrated application functions as expected.

· Implement necessary mitigations and release the application for use.
