Job Description & Summary: 

AEM QA Specialist 

Responsibilities:  

• Champion good testing practices among team members and vendors.  

• Develop comprehensive test plans covering usability, unit, integration, vulnerability, system, acceptance, parallel, regression, automation, and mobile testing.  

• Collaborate with service providers to ensure proper training and monitor test execution.  

• Identify and leverage test automation opportunities, selecting tools and frameworks and ensuring team training.  

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines.  

• Drive improvements in testing processes through lessons learned or root-cause analysis.  

• Oversee proper regression testing upon system changes.  

• Coordinate and maintain test environments across IBU.  

• Communicate testing status and issues to stakeholders.  

• Liaise with business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.  

• Apply corporate testing policies and industry best practices.  

Mandatory skill sets:  

• Proven experience as a QA engineer with a strong focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). 

• Strong understanding of AEM authoring, content structures and publishing workflows, DAM. 

• Validate AEM page structures, templates and components across different environments. 

• Knowledge of concepts such as DAM, MSM, Package Manager. 

• Conduct functional and regression testing to identify the defects in AEM implementation. 

• Ensure AEM pages render correctly across multiple browsers and devices. 

• Validate AEM integrations with third-party systems such as APIs, analytics, and authentication services. 

• Define and execute test plans, test cases and QA processes for AEM remediation efforts. 

• Track and manage defects using JIRA (or similar issue tracking tool) and collaborate with developers for issue resolution. 

• Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills.  

• Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.  

• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.  

Preferred skill sets:  

• Certifications in AEM. 

• Accessibility, security and performance testing within AEM. 

• Experience writing automated tests for AEM components, templates, workflows and APIs. 

• Detailed knowledge of manual and automated testing (e.g., Saucelabs, Appium, Selenium, Jenkins).
