Those in independence, ethics and business conduct at PwC facilitates adherence to ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity within the organisation. Working in this area, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to facilitate compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Act as knowledge broker on various independence policies and guide xLoS teams as needed 
• Active role in contribution to policies, guidance, alerts, assurance essentials etc. 
• Mentoring junior team members by performing detailed review of testing of various Assurance Quality Indicators (AQI)/ Quality improvement plan (QIP), guide them and ensure timely reporting.  
• Regular monitoring, documenting and reporting of various independence processes’ testing activities 
• Take ownership of various IO projects and drive them from inception to completion on a timely basis 
• Coordinate and interact with risk management professionals from the other LoS and Network 
• Take initiatives to identify areas of process improvement through automation and drive these initiatives. 
• Identifying Bottlenecks in the current Risk and Independence process and working for solutions to eliminate the bottlenecks 
• Supporting PRI and the team with various compliance related matters 

Mandatory skill sets:

• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and influencing skills and confidence when interacting with colleagues across designations including Engagement Partners 
• Ability to articulate independence policy and procedures to large audiences including during training sessions 
• A willingness to challenge points of view and opinion, through presenting logical arguments with senior team members including EDs and Partners 
• Assertive yet flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a desire to learn 
• Ability to understand the various business models and requirements 
• Ability to work individually as well as a good team player and have experience of managing teams across locations 
• Solution driven
• Good time management skills and attention to detail 
• Able to adapt, multitask and manage under pressure 
• Aware about and has working knowledge of the latest tools and technologies to drive process improvements.
