Innovation Scouting & Documentation Officer – Jharkhand

Job Title: Innovation Scouting & Documentation Officer Jharkhand

• Identify and scout grassroots, tribal, rural, and community-based innovations across the districts of Jharkhand.
• Conduct field visits in villages, tribal belts, and remote areas to document traditional knowledge, local technologies, and emerging innovations.
• Engage with local communities, SHGs, farmer groups, artisans, students, MSMEs, and local institutions for innovation mapping.
• Conduct structured interviews and prepare detailed case studies covering technical, social, and livelihood impact aspects.
• Translate and document innovations from local languages into professional reports.
• Capture geo-tagged photographs, videos, and field notes to support documentation and validation.
• Coordinate with technical experts, universities, and incubation partners for preliminary evaluation and mentoring support.
• Maintain district-wise database of innovations and submit periodic field reports.
• Support organisation of innovation workshops, awareness camps, exhibitions, and award outreach programs in Jharkhand.
• Be willing to travel extensively within Jharkhand and work closely with local administration, NGOs, and community leaders.

Education and Experience

Masters degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology/Anthropology, Agriculture, Public Policy, Engineering, or Management (Rural Management/Social Entrepreneurship preferred), with a minimum 12 years of relevant field experience in rural/tribal outreach, research, or innovation documentation.
