Innovation Hub Lead

We are seeking a leader for a small Innovation Hub to deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) for Financial Services, with a focus on GRC domains (AML, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance).

The Innovation Hub Lead will be a hands-on technical and domain leader , responsible for designing and delivering PoCs using data virtualisation and AWS , while exploring GenAI / LLM-enabled use cases in a safe, governed manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of PoCs across GRC use cases.
• Architect governed semantic data layers.
• Design cloud-native PoC solutions on AWS .
• Guide domain rationalisation for AML, Risk, and Compliance data.
• Identify and shape GenAI / LLM PoCs (e.g., case summarisation, data discovery).
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and regulatory expectations .
• Lead and mentor a small team of 23 engineers .
• Present outcomes and value to business, IT, and compliance stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant years of experience between 12-15 years (due to budget constraints).
• Strong hands-on experience with virtualisation using tools e.g. Denodo .
• Solid experience designing solutions on AWS .
• Strong GRC domain expertise (AML, Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance).
• Data architecture, SQL, and integration experience.
• Ability to operate in regulated Financial Services environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Working knowledge of LLMs / GenAI (e.g., RAG, vector search, AWS Bedrock).
• Experience designing AI-enabled data solutions.
• AWS or Denodo certifications.
