Infrastructure Operations Lead

About Position:

The Infrastructure Operations Lead owns the reliability, performance, and security of missioncritical platforms across cloud (primarily AWS) and onprem environments. You will lead a 247 operations function responsible for maintaining highly available Linux-based systems, optimizing AWS infrastructure, and ensuring seamless daytoday operations.

What You'll Do:

• Lead endtoend operations of AWS cloud and onprem infrastructure, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance.
• Oversee and optimize Linux-based server environments, including patching, hardening, configuration standards, and lifecycle management.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/onprem) covering deployments, upgrades, scaling, capacity planning, and cluster health.
• Drive InfrastructureasCode automation using Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and change management.
• Own 247 operations, facilitate incident command, reduce MTTR, and implement strong RCA and problemmanagement practices.
• Establish and mature observability practices using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, and alerting systems.
• Implement operational governance covering change, capacity, backup/restore, DR/BCP, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce cloud and Linux security controls, identity management, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
• Optimize AWS cost, performance, and resource utilization through continuous monitoring and architectural improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed runbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and operational documentation for team use and audit alignment.
• Mentor and guide the Infra Ops team, fostering a culture of reliability, automationfirst thinking, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with DevOps, SRE, Platform, and Development teams to ensure smooth releases and reliable production operations.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong handson experience managing and supporting AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, EKS, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and OSlevel security.
• Proficiency with Terraform for IaC, reusable modules, environment standardization, and automated provisioning pipelines.
• Solid Kubernetes expertise in cluster operations, networking, observability, scaling, and security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to run largescale 247 operations, handle critical incidents, and drive RCA/problem management.
• Strong experience with monitoring & observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
• Good understanding of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, routing, NAT, transit gateways, security groups, firewalls).
• Experience automating operations using Shell/Python, configuration management, and CI/CD (Jenkins/GitOps/Argo).
