Summary: As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for leading the definition, design, and documentation of technical environments. Your typical day will involve deploying solution architectures, conducting analysis of alternative architectures, creating architectural standards, defining processes to ensure conformance with standards, instituting solution-testing criteria, defining a solution's cost of ownership, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures. Roles & Responsibilities: Install, implement, test, tune IMS DB and DC system Provide DBA support for application developers. Maintain/tune backup-recovery processes for IMS DR Administer IMS system using consoles, JCL, DL/I, backup, reorg, etc. Expertise with SDLC, PSB generation, Copybooks templates, and Message Format Service (MFS), DBRC and IMS control/message regions Experience to work with DB monitoring tools (TMON, Mainview, Omegamon) Professional & Technical Skills: Knowledge of z/OS functions, high level knowledge of architecture and hardware Thorough knowledge of all tools and technologies used for the role Maintain IMS virtualization mapping for DB2 Analytics Accelerator and Data Virtualization Manager Provide additional support to DB2, QMF, Shadow direct and other DBThorough knowledge of using JCL, IBM & ISV Utilities used for Storage management Knowledge of SMP/E and software installation Overall knowledge of other mainframe admin areas Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful technical solutions. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
