Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela) Switching & Routing Cisco and Software Defined Networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering & Design. This role is based in the office and operates during day shifts. Proficiency in English is required.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela) solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.Knowledge of IP subnetting FLSM and VLSM.Hands on experience on Cisco catalyst switches 9300 3650 2960 and Nexus switch 5KConfiguring and troubleshooting on Firewall implementing security policies and rules.Configuration and troubleshooting an organizations local area network (LAN).Checkpoint to Palo Alto migrationFamiliarity with network management tools and reportingWireless technology (understanding and troubleshooting Wi-Fi related issues)Understanding knowledge of wireless controller and Access points.Oversee the configuration and management of Cisco Switching & Routing to ensure seamless network operations.Provide expertise in Software Defined Networks to optimize network infrastructure and support business needs.Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust network solutions that meet organizational requirements.Conduct thorough network assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.Ensure network security by implementing best practices and monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations processes and procedures.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve network infrastructure.Provide training and support to team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.Participate in cross-functional projects to integrate network solutions with other IT systems.Monitor network performance and generate reports to inform management of network health and performance.Contribute to the development of network policies and standards to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
Qualifications
Possess a strong background in Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela) with hands-on experience.Demonstrate expertise in Cisco Switching & Routing with a proven track record of successful implementations.Have in-depth knowledge of Software Defined Networks and their applications in modern network environments.Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.Show proficiency in network security practices to protect organizational data and infrastructure.Display strong communication skills in English both written and spoken to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Hold a degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field with relevant certifications being a plus.
